This exciting initiative aims to promote environmental awareness, creativity, and the values of unity, sustainability, and cultural expression among youth.

Competition Overview

Participants will be required to conceptualise and create costume or fashion pieces using primarily recycled materials (minimum 75% recycled plastic). Each submission should reflect one or more Commonwealth values such as Equality, Humanity, Destiny, Inclusivity, Peace, and Sustainability.

Participants must be between the ages of 12–21 years and will be required to submit:

  • Photos and/or videos of their completed piece
  • A 300–500 word description explaining the concept and inspiration

NATIONAL COMPETITION TIMELINE

Start Date: 1st April 2026
Submission Deadline: 10th May 2026

Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be awarded

All participants will receive certificates of participation. 

Please note that the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from the National Leg will advance to represent Trinidad and Tobago in the Regional Competition (1st Place - 500GBP, 2nd Place, 300GBP, 3rd Place, 200GBP).
